Prof. Dr. Martina Löw

Martina Löw is Professor of Sociology at Technische Universität Berlin, Germany. Her areas of specialization and research include sociological theory, urban sociology, space theory, and cultural sociology. She has been a visiting professor and has held fellowships at universities in Gothenburg (Sweden), Salvador da Bahia (Brazil), St. Gallen (Switzerland), Paris (France), and Seoul (South Korea), among other locations. From 2011 to 2013, she served as President of the German Sociological Association. She currently heads the Collaborative Research Centre “Re-Figuration of Spaces” (DFG).
