In celebration of World Water Day on 22 March 2026, the “Smart Water Knowledge Market,” which is part of BUA’s “OnWater. Parcours” series invites participants to explore the invisible dimensions of water in our digital and infrastructural worlds. From the virtual water embedded in global supply chains to the water required to cool AI data centres, water quietly shapes our digital lives, often without us realising.
Taking place the afternoon before the Grand Challenges Conference, and building on the CliWAC thematic focus, this event will extend the conversation on water, climate, infrastructure and knowledge.
Programme Highlights
The programme features scientific and artistic contributions, a film screening and an artistic walk. It centres around an interactive World Café, which provides a format for dialogue and collective knowledge exchange on virtual water, smart water systems and the kinds of knowledge needed for resilient and just water futures.
