How to Get from BER Airport to Berlin City Center
1. Buy the Right Ticket
You’ll need a Berlin ABC single ticket. Purchase from ticket machines in Terminal 1 or via the BVG Navigator app before boarding.
2. FEX (Airport Express)
Direct train to Berlin Hauptbahnhof in c.a. 30 minutes. Stops only at Ostkreuz and Gesundbrunnen. Runs every 30 minutes.
3. RE8 & RB23 (Regional Trains)
35-minute ride with stops at Alexanderplatz, Friedrichstraße, and Zoologischer Garten. Good for central locations.
4. S-Bahn S9 & S45
Runs every 20 minutes, scenic route via Ostkreuz and Alexanderplatz. Travel time: 50 minutes.
